John C. Davis is a Managing Shareholder at Davis & Poovey, Inc. (formerly Dunaway & Davis, Inc.) and is involved in all the practice areas of the firm. Mr. Davis has practiced law in Humboldt County for more than 36 years.
Mr. Davis is certified as a specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. He was also an instructor in Family Law at College of the Redwoods. He is a highly-skilled practitioner with vast experience in the family law arena. Acclaimed for his professional and calming approach, John has become well known and highly respected in the legal community for his problem solving abilities and keen advocacy skills. Mr. Davis also has extensive experience in business, real estate, and general civil litigation.
Mr. Davis' vast experience, skill, and reputation have established a solid foundation for the firm's growing mediation practice. John has conducted more than 60 mediations and/or arbitrations and has participated in a like number as an advocate.
